What a whirlwind...
After the wedding we had 3 days to re-organize, pack, and figure out just what the heck to do with all our stuff. A hug thanks to the Carter family--particularly, Mom and Dad Carter and Jason and Amy Carter for their help, support, and willingness to store our things.
8 bags, 4 carry-ons, and 1 dog later...we made it to our next destination...Chicago. How much did that cost, we bet you're wondering, with all the fees they're charging nowadays. Karma was on our side as we talked with the Alaska Airlines supervisor about our upcoming plans...she waived $400 dollars and we only had to pay $200.
One week with the Feder family and another wedding reception with family and friends. This is also known as transition week...especially for Bailey; we really wanted her to be acclimated to the weather, space, and new people. Not surprisingly, Bailey is extremely adaptable and did well on her first flight and adjusted really well to being around new family.
Our 3rd day in Chicago we received a wonderful surprise...Michel and Rachel Carter flew in for our reception. We all had an amazing time; it's always amazing to be surrounded by love and support.
The day before our next departure to Ireland, we decided to down-size and unpacked everything to see if there was anything we could do without...final report...5 bags and 2 carry-ons. Not too bad, huh!

Kudos to both of you for downgrading your bags! Rose - where did you put all those hair products?! If you ever need any hair stuff, let me know and I'd be more than happy to ship it over :)
