Brennan Michel Arrives--September 22, 2010

The evening of the 20th September ended like any other evening...curry for dinner (mildly spiced), chat, catching up on things around the apartment, and a late bed time of midnight. Little did we know that when we closed our eyes, our world would change in a matter of hours. 

At 2:45am our life journey into parenthood started with the first contraction...at 4:15pm, or little man, Brennan Michel Carter, entered this world...all 6lbs, 10oz, and 20.5 inches of him. Brennan arrived 18 days early; perfect in every way. 

Words cannot describe the emotions of the day...overcome with joy, exhaustion, and utter sheer awe at our creation, the lil one we have been talking, singing to and dreaming with for the last 37 weeks was finally here.








Today was truly magical; we could not have known how full our hearts would feel when he arrived and how ready we were to protect him with everything that we have. We look forward to the days to come and have no idea what is in store for us other than knowing that we are ready to nurture Brennan with love, warmth, touch, and all we have to help him thrive in this crazy, mad world.
