Date Night Fridays

For some time now, Brian and I have made Fridays "date night," but we take turns every other Friday in planning what the evening will entail. Usually, it's a home-cooked dinner or dinner out at a new restaurant (or sometimes just at our local fave Indian restaurant), movie-in or movie-out, and/or fun entertainment that we've discovered in the local Dublin news. We look forward to Fridays and to what one of us has planned...usually, we don't know until the evening of.

This past Friday was my turn to plan...we had a home-cooked meal of white fish with lemon basil, salad, and asparagus; the entertainment was at Odessa Club where we listened to music and watched live international dancing...everything from Irish to Salsa to Tribal to Capoeira to Brazilian to Flamenco and even interpretive dancing. The interpretive dancer posed a question to the audience, "What is dance?" and proceeded to show us that there isn't a right answer; it's anything and everything you want it to be, dance is whatever it means to you, in however and whichever way it speaks to you. So, get up and DANCE! :)
